Well, this is my first entry as a blog ever, so i will try to do as much as i can for this entry in order to explain what happens about the progressive rock scene at my city.
Since the late 90's, a huge progressive rock festival has been held up at my city, wich its called "Baja Prog", Founded by 'Alfonso V.', composer and keyboard player for the mexican progressive rock band called "CAST".
Cast its a band that has a 32 year trayectory on the mexican and european musical scene, being more popular at europe than at his own city.
They have a huge ammount of cd's releases and many more to go.
But they are not the only ones... there's still "Cruz de Hierro", wich its another progressive rock band from the wherearrounds, while most of their members were born in Mexicali, Baja California. Many others were born at "Guadalajara, Jalisco". and they are well known by their high virtuoso musicians.
well... thats quite a little peek about what happens arround here, i will try and keep writing as much as possible about mexican progressive rock, and many other bands for latin america.
